A little more about me
I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Environmental Studies in 2021. While in college I worked as a trip leader for NIU’s Outdoor Adventure’s, taking people on trips, planning, organizing events, and taking photos! It was while working trips and events that I discovered I loved combining adventure and photography (my Gila blog is one of those trips!) I have since been doing photography for several years. I quickly learned that I loved corresponding with people, planning, and leading events. The knowledge and confidence I gained at that job transfer pretty will into planning elopements 😉
Since graduating I either spend my time reading a fiction book, planning my next trip, taking photos, hanging with Bleu, or, on occasion, jumping in my car for a brief adventure.
Some of my past adventures include hiking Rim2Rim2Rim in the Grand Canyon, hiking Angels Landing at Zion along with the Narrows (there are stories to tell from those). I’ve led trips to the Smokey Mountains, visited Shawnee National Forest, along with so much more (check out the list below).
Some of my favorite outdoor activities include backpacking, going on river hikes, and biking with Bleu.
